Halloween 2005 - Our Pumpkins

Halloween - All Hallow's Eve. It is a great time for kids and the young at heart alike. As it turns out, characters have become as much a part of the holiday as the traditional witches and ghosts and goblins.

This year our pumpkins were representative of both.

One character and one traditional.

US Navy Blue Angels in Rochester 2004

The Blue Angels visited Rochester in 2004 for the ESL Airshow. The "Boss" or #1 pilot, Cdr Russ Bartlett is pictured here signing autographs for the kids.

The mission of the Blue Angels is to enhance Navy recruiting, and credibly represent Navy and Marine Corps aviation to the United States and its Armed Forces to America and other countries as international ambassadors of good will.
The Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, ordered the establishment of the team on April 24, 1946.

The Blues visited Rochester in 2000 as well, and while here for that Airshow shot video that is available on DVD. It shows the local media rides and what it takes to set up a Blue Angels airshow at the Greater Rochester International Airport. The name of the DVD is "The Blue Angels: In Pursuit of Excellence".

"Dude You're Getting A Dell"

It's all about the coolness of the computer.

No matter what people say, "Steven" was still one of the most prolific ad campaigns that any computer manufacturer has launched. It ranked right up there with the "Blue Guys" who got there leap into stardom from Intel.

Two years after Steven's departure from Dell commercials, people still remember the tagline "Dude you're getting a Dell!".

What a powerful campaing with lasting effects.
